If you have a stock of these berries, you just pop one of these in your mouth before lunch and hold it there: For something like two minutes. Now eat something sour like a lemon or a lime and it will now supposedly taste about the same to you as you as if you were eating an orange.

New Invention, or discovery?

No, it apparently has been around for a while and has been named the "miracle fruit" and it's starting to show up in a few cafes and restaurants in Japan.

Japanese patrons there say the sugar-free (and artificial sweetener free) deserts taste "just like the real deserts with sugar."

No word on when it will be available in the US yet. It takes four or more years to grow from scratch and develop fruit for the market, so would have to be an import for now.
